Reverse Scallop Corner - Sympathy card

I miss teaching at APT and my faithful students.
So I decided to create a quick tutorial

Here's the card.

I used this stamp by Stampin' Up.

Here are the base cardstocks and sizes you will need.
Score the 4 1/2" x 11" at the 5 1/2" line.
Add a 1" x 5 1/2" cardstock strip right in the middle of your card base:

As another option, you can add a silk ribbon instead of the cardstock by creating a slit at the top of the card and sliding the ribbon through:

Tape the ends of the ribbon as shown here:

Stamp your sentiment and your image. I heat embossed the fern.

Place your image right over the mat, matching one corner.
Take a scallop scissors and cut through both cardstock one hump of the scallop.

Like so:

Next align another corner of your image with the matching corner of your cardstock and again cut one hump of the scallop.

Cut all four corners and then center and glue your image onto the mat. Add pop dots in back of the mat and adhere to the base card over the 1" strip or ribbon.

Finish off the inside with a sentiment and image.  Lastly, add 3 bling around your image.  You just GOTTA add bling!!  . . . and you are all done!!
